Graduate Student Position at Nanophotonics and Plasmonics
Prof. Filbert Bartoli's Biophotonics & Optoelectronics lab at Lehigh University announces an opening for a graduate student position in nanophotonics and plasmonics. The successful candidate will participate in a cutting-edge research effort aiming to develop and study nanoplasmonic structures to slow down light waves and investigate their potential photovoltaic and biosensing applications. This research could open a door to the control of light waves on a chip and help reduce the size of optical structures, enabling them to be integrated at the nanoscale with electronic devices.
Candidates who have a background or hands-on experience in the development and implementation of nanophotonic or plasmonic structures will be of particular interest to us. Previous research experience at the undergraduate or Master degree level is preferred but not required.
Applicants should send a CV, transcript and a list of publications to:
Prof. Filbert Bartoli
Fourth year thesis projects or Master degree thesis projects available to students willing to undertaken an intensive research project.
Nano-photonics, Bio-imaging or Bio-sensing.
Experience in Bio-related researches, Photonics, Semiconductor devices preferred.
Please contact Dr. Bartoli for more information.
