Yik Khoon
Ee received his
Bachelor's degree (1st
Class Honors) in
Electrical and
Electronic Engineering
from Nanyang
Technological
University, Singapore,
in May 2003. He was a
recipient of the
Singapore Economic
Development Board
Photonics Scholarship.
He then worked in
Denselight
Semiconductors (a start
up optoelectronics
company), Singapore, as
a process engineer from
May 2003 to Dec 2003.
His main job
responsibilities
included process control
and development of InP
based optoelectronics.
Later, he joined Agilent
Technologies, Singapore,
as a VCSEL product
engineer. His main job
scope included growth of
III-V semiconductor
material for GaAs VCSEL
and product engineering
of short wave implant
VCSEL. He received the
Agilent Star Award in
Oct 2004, for playing an
important role in
transferring a product
from engineering to
production mode in
shortest time possible.
He has been a graduate
student in the
Department of Electrical
and Computer
Engineering, within the
P. C. Rossin College of
Engineering and Applied
Science at Lehigh
University, since June
2005.
He completed his Ph.D. study on November
2009. He has published more than 50
conference and journal article
papers before his graduation.
