Short Biography:
Aneesh Alex did his master’s in Photonics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. In 2007, he moved to Cardiff University, UK for doctoral studies in multi-modal and multi-spectral optical coherence tomography. He designed and developed an optical coherence tomography imaging system for dermatological applications during his post-doctoral work in Medical University Vienna, Austria. At Lehigh University, his research projects include developing Doppler imaging techniques for monitoring tumor angiogenesis and optogenetics.

Yongyang Huang received his B.S. degree in Physics at Peking University in July 2013. Since September 2013, he has been a Ph.D student in Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) in Lehigh University.
His research area is focused on optical coherence tomography (OCT) and its applications in biomedical imaging.

Short Biography:

Jing Men received her Bachelor's degree in Northeast Normal University in July 2010. From September 2011 to July 2014, she is a master student in Optics in Peking University. Since September 2014, she becomes a PhD student of Lehigh University in Biomedical Engineering.
Her research area is mainly about Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and its applications on fruit flies.

Jonah was an undergraduate research assistant in Zlab from June to August in 2013. He mainly worked on developing matlab-based algorithms to automatically count neurons on confocal images of rat's hippocampus.

Jana Rasakanthan , PhD

Dr. Rasakanthan received his Ph.D degree from Aston University, UK in 2011. Dr. Rasakanthan was a post-doctor associate in prof. Zhou's lab from September 2012 to April 2013, working on C++ programming and CUDA.

He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering in Lehigh University from June 25 to September 14, 2012.

Dr. MA has been a post-doctor of the Institute of China Electronic System Engineering in Beijing under the direction of Professor Deyi LI from August 2009 to January 2012. He received his PhD degree in computer science from Wuhan University in June 2007, and his research supervisor is Professor Keqing HE. MA received his MS and BA degree from Wuhan University of Science and Technology in June 2004 and June 2001, all in computer science. Currently, his work focuses on software metrics for large-scale open-source software systems, software evolution and maintenance, and service computing. Now, he is a professional member of China Computer Federation (CCF), ACM & ACM SIGSOFT, and IEEE & IEEE CS.

Katherine Vojir

Katherine worked in a Zlab from June to September in 2012. She tested different materials to act as a mediator of monocyte adhesion by using a divalent cation chelator EDTA to determine if the adhesive interaction depends on divalent cations.  She has also worked with Dr. Zhou using optical coherence tomography to analyze the effects of microneedles into the skin.

Fengqiang Li received his B.E degree in Optoelectronics Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan, China) in June 2011. Since September 2011, he has been a Ph.D student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Lehigh University.
His research areas are related to biomedical imaging especially in optical coherence tomography and its applications in biological studies.

Dana MacAllister
Senior at Pleasant Valley High School in Brodheadsville, PA

She is a senior at Pleasant Valley High School in Brodheadsville, PA. She joined Prof. Zhou's lab in July 2012 to gain a better understanding of the research process, particulary in the biomedical engineering field. She will be attending Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ majoring in Engineering. She has a strong interest in math and science, as well as a desire to become involved with the medical field.
