Short Biography:

Dr. Chao Zhou graduated from Peking University in China (B.S., 2001), obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania (2007), and received post-doctoral training from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He joined the faculty at Lehigh University in 2012 as an assistant professor in electrical engineering and bioengineering. In 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure. Dr. Zhou has extensive experience in biophotonics and has contributed to the development and validation of novel imaging modalities for various applications ranging from measuring the brain function to monitoring cancer treatments. Dr. Zhou has published over 56 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and is a member of the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE), Optical Society of America (OSA), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), American Heart Association (AHA), and the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (ISCBFM).

Short Biography:

Dr. Qiongyu Guo earned her B.S. degree in Polymer Science and Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2004. She obtained her Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in 2010. She received her post-doctoral training in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. She has published over 18 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Her research focuses on engineering biomaterials through translational approaches so that the clinical use may be realized to enhance human health and well-being. She specialized in developing drug delivery systems and functional biomaterials for tissue engineering and cancer treatments. She has extensive experience on biodegradable drug-eluting stent, light activated cell migration, biomimetic artificial cornea, musculoskeletal regeneration and shape memory nanosystems. She is an Associate Editor of Drug Design, Development and Therapy (SCIE, Impact factor: 2.881).

Mudabbir Badar received Ph.D. degree from kochi university of technology, Japan in 2016. He has worked on optical fiber sensing/measurement/detection and optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) during his Ph.D. research work. He joined Z-lab in August 2016 where is engaged with research work on development of ultra-high speed (SDM) OCT.
